Our resident queen, Hera, is currently our largest hen. With a flight weight of 195 grams and a cage weight that can go as high as 230, she has to be monitored closely in all situations where a smaller cage keeps her massive frame from daily exercise. For this reason, she is bred in a separate flight that measures 3X3X7' long. Her nestbox hole is even cut larger so that her shoulders don't touch when she enters and exits (yep... she's picky - but she's gorgeous). While we have tried on many different occasions to breed her with other birds here (cousins & sons), she has remained quite loyal to her original mate, Zeus. Since both of these majestic birds represent the highest quality TopTiels.com has to offer, we have decided to leave them paired together and to live their lives as the loving couple that they have become.
Both of these birds are 100% Greeson and are highly sought after lines. They are known, not only for their massive size, but also for their large heads and eyes, impressive crests and general friendliness in the aviary. Greeson pairings have been responsible for increased size in aviaries throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. When available, chicks from this large Greeson pair start at $600. They are rare and very difficult to acquire, but as you can see, worth their weight in gold to any aviary attempting to increase the size in their current flock. When these young birds are sold,
new owners are asked to provide them with larger than normal areas for exercise. Unnecessary weight on these larger birds can lead to all kinds of problems not the least of which are fatty livers. When provided with a large expanse to fly, play and otherwise exercise, these giants will reward their owner with years of health and many outstanding babies. Hera is shown here after being moved from her flight and into a large breeding cage. She is lean, muscular and in perfect condition to breed.
Shown to the left is Hera next to her son, Achilles. As a youngster, Achilles had a larger than normal head that gave him a "gangly" teenage appearance. But, as time went by, his body caught up to his head and he is now one of our largest most impressive cocks.

What is Image Verification ( Captcha )?
A security test to determine whether or not the user is human. This will ensure that only human visitors will actually submit the form, and not spamming bots that are browsing the web from site to site and submit spam where they can. It is well known that programmers can do programs for many jobs, including visiting a large amount of sites on the Internet by following links from page to page and collect emails listed on websites, submit contact forms, or even trying to break passwords by trying to login over and over again with computer generated passwords.
Fortunately, it is impossible for a non-human ( ex. computer program ) to extract a word or a combination of letters and numbers from an image, if the letters and numbers are not all of the same size and of similar font. This is why, the Image Verification security method ensures that only people actually can submit a form.
